EDIE WADDELL ~ Principal
At the helm is President and CEO Edie Waddell, a 34-year veteran of McDonald’s Corporation where she retired as a Corporate Vice President in U.S. Operations, one of the first female African Americans to achieve such status. She also held leadership positions in the areas of Restaurant Development, Supply Chain, Product Development, Marketing and Profitability. But it was Ms. Waddell’s involvement with site selection, site development and restaurant construction that was a natural fit with her passion for real estate, and the catalyst to run her own development, real estate and luxury custom home building company. Ms. Waddell is nationally recognized by Crain’s Business Magazine as one of Fortune 500’s “Women at the Top.” She has served on a variety of charitable boards, including the Hutzel Hospital for Women and Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities. Ms. Waddell is currently a member of the Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando, the National Association of Women Busines Owners, and the Disney Entrepreneur Center’s 100 Club, an exclusive membership organization limited to 100 of Central Florida’s most engaged community and business leaders.
ERIC WADDELL ~ Principal
Responsible for overseeing initiatives that have led to over $750 million in real estate projects and investments, including the acquisition of a commercial and residential construction company, the establishment of a full service asset management company and a real estate company, Mr. Waddell leads Landmark’s business development operations. He also serves as Chairman of the Waddell Williams & Associates Investment Committee, and consults with a variety of business enterprises. In his 27 years as a UPS executive, Mr. Waddell held key management positions in Operations, Business Development, Sales, Marketing and Finance. He has been an active member or board member in many civic and non-profit organizations, including the Waddell Williams & Associates Foundation, which he founded, the Ohio State Buckeye Alumni Association, the Metropolitan Detroit YMCA and Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities.
HERBERT WILLIAMS ~ Principal
Mr. Williams serves as an advisor on financial matters, including accounting and controllership, staffing, internal and external financial reporting, contract negotiation and review, budgeting, financial analysis, internal audit, risk management and fiscal and operational policy development. Currently Division Officer – Franchise Relations for McDonald’s Corporation, he has held executive positions with emphasis on securing, purchasing, financing and structuring franchise agreements for franchisees to build and operate profitable restaurants. Mr. Williams’ extensive experience also encompasses real estate site selection, appraisal, development and construction.
J. NATHAN HILL ~ Principal
Mr. Hill advises the company in strategic planning, operational and performance standards. A retired Morgan Stanley executive, he held several senior management positions with the company during his 32-year tenure, most recently as Head of Operations for Morgan Stanley International Consumer Banking Group where he was responsible for all card operations for the international consumer group, including operational/reputational risk, vendor management, contract negotiations, annual operating budget, contact center operations and all customer-facing activities. He is a Delaware State Trustee and a member of the Board of Directors of Discover Bank, Morgan Stanley Bank, Ltd. in London, and the Worldwide Board of Directors for Junior Acheivement where he received Merit Awards for Outstanding Service.
MICHAEL BORDERS ~ Director of Real Estate
A U.S. Air Force veteran with nearly a decade of service to our country both at home and abroad, Mr. Borders is charged with the development, execution and ongoing management of all operations related to real estate. As such, he plays an active rold in sales and sales management, property and asset management, client and vendor relations, and construction. He participates directly in the daily construction process, assisting Landmark’s contractors as a construction foreman with responsibilities including the scheduling of sub-contractors and suppliers, facilitating inspections and coordinating client communications. In both his professional and personal life, Mr. Borders is governed by the 3 core values of the U.S. Air Force: Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do.
MARNIE VAUGHN ~ Director of Sales
Ms. Vaughn directs all facets of the company’s sales and marketing function, and is the liaison with Developers’ on-site sales teams in each community. She has nearly 20 years of real estate direct sales, sales management, consulting, design and marketing experience for such companies as Trammell Crow Residential Services, KB Home and Beasley and Henley Interior Design. Ms. Vaughn is a managing member and qualifying broker for CL International Realty Group, Landmark’s real estate sales entity that caters to a global, multi-cultural clientele. She is an Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce Leadership Orlando graduate, a member of the Orlando Regional Realtor Association and its International Council, and the Osceola and East Polk County Associations of Realtors. Ms. Vaughn volunteers with Easter Seals Florida, College Park Little League, and the Orlando Museum of Art’s Council of 101 where she chairs the Electronic Media and Graphic Design Committees.
JEFFRY EWING ~ Certified General Contractor
A Celebration resident and second generation builder, Mr. Ewing is well known throughout the state of Florida for building spectacular homes and outstanding commercial properties. Most recently, he has been responsible for overseeing the design, construction and delivery of multiple luxury custom vacation residences in Reunion Resort for domestic and international clients. Mr. Ewing serves on the board of the Home Builders Association of Mid-Florida, and is Past President of the Tampa Bay Builders Association where he was honored as Builder of the Year in 2008. He actively volunteers with youth sports, including Celebration Little League Baseball, Pop Warner Football and Upwards Basketball.
